Should we adopt a more 'Enoch Powell' approach to immigration?

Wow another great question ! As a canadian in a cost rica immigration holding centre, basically prison...i have experienced the true result of immigration...over a temporary passport issue.! that my consulate wouldn't allow my mother to send me, three weeks before pickup and detainment..besides the fires, fights stabbings and overcrowding as well as being the only white guy in this facility of about 80 a week. I would have to say 28 days and 20 pounds later it was more than a adventure..their are so many reasons for people leaving their countries from terrorism to political violence as well as human rights violations that their is no time to go through the right political channels..i feel bad for the men and women that have established residence and assets as well as some sort of political freedoms that are grabbed detained and fired back to their country before even communicating to their love ones of what just happened to them... crackers for breakfast rice and peas for lunch and dinner, over flowing toilets as well as rampant racism not for being white but for being dark skinned in costa rica..again most detainees were running from a lack of democracy in there country.. so enoch powell ? no grounds for me ..sleep well ..and here s to American democracy in cost rica central america coming out of the mouth of a immigration officer from san salvador ordering the costa Rica officer to take my cuffs off.!!!! nice democracy he say s !!! at the airport.....true story ..
