Tampax Pearl or Kotex U?

ok i have heard some people say they luv kotex and some people hate it? I am going to lake powell for a week, and i'm going to be on my period the whole time. I don't want to have to worry about it the whole time, i just want to have lots of fun and not be scared that i will bleed through it. We are out in our boat most of the day, and usually i wear super tampax pearl and sometimes i have to change them every 3 hrs. so i was going to try super plus...all they had in the absorbancy was the Kotex. I am worried that it won't be as good. I have hurd they don't absorb as much so it would be like wearing just a super? what do you think?
